I dance with everyone

As a firm believer that all can dance, and should have the opportunity to dance, I dance with everyone. I facilitate dance workshops with people of all ages - from babies (and parents) through to mature adults -and all abilities, from those who have never danced before to students or teaching artists with years of experience.

I dance with people from disadvantaged backgrounds and with emerging young performers undertaking specialist training. With adults with severe health challenges (dementia, cancer, stroke), as well as with health care providers curious about the power of dance.

I have a special interest in dancing with women - positioning joy at the centre of my practice to foster fear rebellion. And I focus specifically on building connection through dance - enabling physical and mental expansion.

What does a workshop with me offer?

  • a safe, creative, inspiring and joyful experience that keeps you wanting more

  • an opportunity to connect with others, and feel part of a caring community

  • unique and tailor made dance explorations that build skills and confidence

  • awesome music, aiding participants’ understanding of rhythm and dance musicality

Professional development

With over fifteen years’ experience working in dance - as an artist facilitator, entrepreneur, researcher, director and programme designer - I offer educational talks, workshops and practical training to support others in the field.

I work with dance organisations nationally and internationally as a consultant, and to deliver professional development opportunities. I also guest lecture at Universities and facilitate working groups for those who wish to develop a practice suitable for community and health settings.

As Founder and Director of Move Dance Feel - a UK dance company for women living with and beyond cancer - I deliver Dance in Cancer Care training opportunities to share knowledge and elements of practice that are specific to working with dance in this context.

Move Dance Feel sessions are conducted with such care and consideration, founded on years of research, experience and friendships with women affected by cancer. It’s a privilege to dance with these women.
